Mixed media work by Dominic Fels dating to 1950. Fels was an English artist who studied at the Royal Academy. Greatly influenced by the Cubists, Surrealists and the work of postwar artists such as Henry Moore and Francis Bacon. This totemic head study is a theme he often re-visited during the 1950`s. Lived and worked in Epsom, Surrey and later in Bridgewater, Somerset. Painting excellent condition. Signed `Dominic` in typical style and dated 1950. From artists studio sale.
